Meta Takes Down 756,000 Australian Teen Accounts Ahead of Ban Enforcement

Meta has announced the removal of 756,000 accounts belonging to Australian teenagers in response to an impending ban on underage users. This includes 462,000 accounts from Instagram and 294,000 from Facebook, as reported by The Express Tribune.

The decision comes as Australia’s internet regulator considers legal action against social media platforms. According to Free Malaysia Today, Meta has stated that it intends to comply with this ban, despite having previously opposed it.
