Microsoft has announced that its Edge browser will cease support for MV2 extensions and will dismiss some ad blockers such as uBlock Origin. According to sources, the transition for extensions will begin in August and is expected to be completed by the end of the year for consumers.
Additionally, it is reported that for businesses, this transition will be completed by early 2027. This decision is part of a broader strategy by Microsoft regarding its Edge browser and the tools it offers.
