Milan is the most expensive city in Italy, 40% costlier than Naples
According to Codacons, Milan is the priciest city, showing significant price differences compared to the South.

According to an analysis by the association Codacons, Milan has been identified as the most expensive city in Italy, with a cost of living 40% higher than that of Naples. The research highlights that the prices of goods and services in Milan are nearly double those in Naples.
The analysis, based on data from the Mimit price observatory updated in June, reveals significant differences between various Italian cities, such as Bolzano and Ancona, where food and service prices are particularly high. Aosta is noted for its high dental expenses.
Codacons emphasizes that Italy is split in two, with the South proving to be much more affordable compared to the North, drawing attention to how these factors influence the choices and living conditions of citizens.
