The Ministry of Justice (MJ) expects to receive the conclusions of the audit on the Judiciary Police (PJ) by the end of the year. According to information released by Minister Rita Alarcão Júdice's office, the audit is being conducted by the Inspectorate-General of Justice Services (IGSJ).

The audit was announced following controversies involving the current director of the PJ, Luís Neves. These controversies resulted in the decision to conduct two audits: one internal requested by Neves and another by the IGSJ.

In addition to the IGSJ audit, the PJ has already initiated an internal audit, as requested by its director. The aim of the audits is to investigate matters related to the operation and management of the Judiciary Police.

Although the Ministry has assured that it expects results by the end of 2023, some reports indicate that the delivery of the IGSJ conclusions may be scheduled for a longer timeframe, possibly extending to 2026, according to sources from Observador.

Amadeu Guerra, who has also been involved in statements regarding the matter, confirmed that there are three processes involving the Minister of Justice. However, details about these processes have not been widely disclosed.

Information about the auditors and the processes continues to be released through multiple sources, but the clear expectation from the Ministry of Justice is that there will be significant progress by the end of this year.
