Moroccan authorities have requested that the EFE and TVE agencies leave the town of Castillejos. According to reports, this decision was communicated by Youssef Hajji, a representative of the Ministry of the Interior, who instructed an EFE correspondent to leave immediately without providing detailed explanations.
Additionally, it has been warned that failure to comply with the order could result in the revocation of accreditations for journalists from both agencies. This measure comes amid rising tensions at the border with Ceuta, where tear gas and batons have been used to disperse migrants attempting to approach.
The request to leave Castillejos has been reported by several sources. 20minutos notes that the authorities made this decision at a critical moment, just before the entry of migrants into Ceuta was prohibited.
