José Mourinho, coach of Real Madrid, addressed the press after his team's defeat against Real Betis, highlighting that the opposing players aimed to draw, which he believes earned them 'the big prize'.

This defeat, Mourinho's first since returning to the Madrid bench, occurred at La Cartuja stadium, with a final score of 1-0 in favor of Betis, managed by Manuel Pellegrini.

In his statements, Mourinho admitted that the loss was 'inexplicable' and noted there were moments when his team fought without fully understanding the game's progression.

In addition to criticizing Betis' defensive tactics, he referenced the referee's performance, suggesting it negatively influenced the outcome for his team.

This match marks a poor start to the league for Madrid, which will now need to reflect on its performance following this unexpected defeat.
