According to the study 'Sport Switzerland 2026', sports behavior in Switzerland has changed. For the first time, fitness centers have more members than sports clubs. The research indicates that age, education, and gender have a significant impact on the sports activities of the population.

Hiking, cycling, swimming, skiing, and jogging are among the five most popular sports. Additionally, it is noted that sports are primarily pursued outdoors. The data shows that one in five Swiss engages in regular physical activity, with women and men having different preferences for sports.
