Number of Attacks on Train Conductors Increases
DB Regio reports 989 attacks on train conductors in regional transport in the first half of the year and announces measures to improve safety.

Deutsche Bahn has recorded 989 attacks on train conductors in regional transport in the first half of the year. According to the company, the number of attacks has increased compared to the same period last year. Particularly concerning are the more severe bodily injuries, of which 22 employees are affected.
To enhance staff safety, DB Regio plans several measures. These include equipping train conductors with stab-proof vests and utilizing audio recordings to better document incidents.
Additionally, the number of personnel on trains will be increased to reduce potential attacks. DB Regio is responding to the alarming accounts from employees and aims to improve safety in regional transport.
