Laurent Abergel, who joined OGC Nice this summer from Lorient, suffered a tear of the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee. This injury occurred on Saturday during a friendly match against Cagliari.

Abergel's injury comes before he has played any official matches with his new club. His absence from the field is expected to extend over several months.

This situation is a significant blow for the Nice team and for Abergel, who had hoped to make an impression as soon as he arrived.
