OpenAI pauses training of new AI models due to cyber risks
OpenAI has suspended the training of new models for two weeks to review security mechanisms.

OpenAI has suspended the training of new models for two weeks. This step was taken to enhance control and security systems. During this period, the company will focus on smaller training experiments and evaluations to assess model behavior and the reliability of protection mechanisms.
This decision was made following an incident related to Hugging Face. Initial evaluations also indicated concerns in certain areas that require closer scrutiny. Consequently, the largest planned Frontier reinforcement learning launch is currently on hold.
