This Wednesday, more than 700 gatherings will take place in various cities across Spain in support of Ceuta amidst a migration crisis. These demonstrations have been organized by civil society along with the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces.

Representatives from the PP and Vox parties, as well as Socialist mayors, are expected to attend these gatherings, despite a letter sent by the PSOE urging them not to participate in the protests.

The main protest in Ceuta coincides with the anniversary of the autonomous city and is expected to draw around 20,000 participants. Attendees aim to assert their belonging to Spain and criticize the government's handling of the current crisis.

The demonstrations in support of Ceuta have spread nationwide, highlighting citizens' solidarity with this region. Activities will begin in the morning and continue throughout the day across Spain.

Organizers have indicated that these protests are a response to the lack of solutions to the migration crisis facing Ceuta, reflecting growing concern about the situation at the border between Europe and Africa.
