Ozon has announced that more than 80,000 pickup stations in Russia will operate as small logistics centers starting from September 10, 2023. At these stations, merchants can store their goods and offer them for sale, according to the company.

In the first phase, the pickup stations will be used to store products that were canceled by buyers or not picked up. These items will be re-listed on Ozon's platform and can be ordered by customers.

After placing an order, the relevant item will be delivered to buyers by a courier from the pickup station. From October 2023, sellers will also be allowed to bring their goods directly to the pickup stations.

This initiative comes in the context of changed logistics conditions and aims to enhance the efficiency of the sales process under the current circumstances. Ozon describes this development as a step towards optimizing its services.
