Partial lunar eclipse visible on Friday morning
On Friday morning, a partial lunar eclipse could be observed in many parts of Austria, starting at 4:34 AM.

On the morning of Friday, October 6, a partial lunar eclipse occurred, which was well visible in Austria. According to reports, the celestial event began at 4:34 AM when the moon entered the Earth's umbra.
In eastern Austria, the increasing brightness from the upcoming sunrise around 6:06 AM hindered visibility of the moon. The moon set at 6:05 AM, just before the maximum eclipse was reached at 6:13 AM.
In western Austria, observers had better conditions, as the sun did not rise until 6:35 AM, and the moon set at 6:41 AM. This allowed for a longer viewing period of the lunar eclipse.

Viewers in Austria also had the option to follow the lunar eclipse live online, should the weather make sky observation difficult. This was highlighted as a practical offering, especially during unfavorable weather conditions.
The partial lunar eclipse was perceived differently across various parts of the country, with the brightness of the dawn particularly affecting visibility. Records of the astronomical event come from diverse sources, reflecting regional differences.
