In the early hours of Friday, a partial lunar eclipse was observed over Belgium. During this phenomenon, the moon passed through the Earth's shadow, resulting in approximately 93 percent coverage.
Various sources report that visibility of the lunar eclipse was disrupted in many places due to cloud cover, preventing some from observing the eclipse. This partial lunar eclipse followed a partial solar eclipse that occurred two weeks prior.
Following this lunar eclipse, the next total lunar eclipse is expected on New Year's Eve in 2028.
