At the 29th Cyclassics in Hamburg, French cyclist Paul Magnier claimed victory in the professional category. The 22-year-old triumphed in a sprint against his competitors in a thinned-out field, marking his first major road classic win. According to Belgian broadcaster, Mike Teunissen from the Netherlands finished second, while Laurence Pithie took third place. Milan Fretin was the best Belgian, finishing in sixth position.
