PCP accuses government of using public funds for private business
The PCP criticizes the government for allegedly using public money to favor private interests, citing the case of Fertagus.

The Portuguese Communist Party (PCP) accused the government of conducting a business with private entities using public money. According to the PCP, this practice undermines resources that should be allocated for essential public services.
Paulo Raimundo, the General Secretary of the PCP, expressed opposition to the study published by the Competition Authority, which he claims contributes to deregulation and favors private interests at the expense of public funds.

Raimundo cited Fertagus as an example of what he considers serious flaws in public concessions, emphasizing that these cases demonstrate poor management and a lack of transparency in partnerships between the state and the private sector.
The party leader called on users to mobilize and prevent what he sees as a 'theft of public resources,' warning of the consequences these practices may have for the population and essential services.
