Peru records recent earthquakes of magnitudes 4 and 4.2
The country has experienced several earthquakes, including one in Huánuco and another in Sechura, according to official reports.
Peru has recently recorded several earthquakes, including one in Sechura, Piura, which reached a magnitude of 4.1 at 10:45 PM local time, according to Infobae. This seismic event occurs in the context of the Pacific Ring of Fire, where a large number of earthquakes take place globally.
Another earthquake occurred in the Huánuco region, specifically in Pachitea, at 11:06 PM, with a magnitude of 4.2. This seismic movement had its epicenter 25 kilometers southeast of the town of Panao, as reported by El Comercio and the Geophysical Institute of Peru (IGP).
It is important to note that Peru lies on the South American tectonic plate, which collides with the Nazca plate, making it a country prone to seismic movements.
