The chief commander of the National Police of Peru, Óscar Arriola, announced that an agreement was signed with the FBI of the United States three and a half months ago. This collaboration occurred during the transitional government led by legislator José María Balcázar.

The agreement aims to strengthen the fight against transnational crime, according to official sources. The PNP has expressed its commitment to work alongside U.S. authorities in this area.
