Pierenloop in Ravels cancelled due to lack of volunteers
The Pierenloop, scheduled for September 5, will not take place this year due to a shortage of volunteers. Organisers hope to return in 2027.
The 35th edition of the Pierenloop, which was set to take place on Saturday, September 5, in Ravels, has been cancelled by the organisers. There are not enough volunteers available to safely manage the event with 800 participants.
According to the organisers, the decision to cancel the run was not made lightly, but the shortage of assistance has proven to be an insurmountable issue.
The organisers have indicated that their goal is to return with the Pierenloop in 2027, provided conditions allow. This will depend on the availability of volunteers and the organisation of the event.
