Police Seek Charges Over Bangkok Bar Fire That Killed 37
Thai police aim to charge the Rong Beer Na Lad Phrao bar owner with multiple offences following a deadly fire last month.

Thai police intend to charge the owner of the Rong Beer Na Lad Phrao restaurant, Suvicha Salaibatr, with six offences in relation to a fire that resulted in the deaths of 37 individuals. This includes charges of negligence causing death and serious injury, criminal mischief, and operating an entertainment venue without a license.
The lead investigator stated that the charges concern various serious violations, including the resultant harm and the fire itself. Police have noted that formal charges will be pursued pending medical clearance from the doctors overseeing Salaibatr's recovery.
According to reports, Salaibatr has recently left intensive care, but authorities await further approval to proceed with the charges.
