In the area of Cultural Heritage, the contracted financing with the European Union (EU) amounted to €243.2 million. This sum included various projects aimed at preserving and enhancing the national heritage, focusing on improvements to cultural facilities and their accessibility to the public.

In addition to financial investments, the information provided indicated that interventions have been completed in 83 museums, monuments, and public palaces. This number exceeds the 81 interventions initially planned, reflecting an additional effort in achieving the established objectives.

The Government also indicated that by the end of the year, the number of facilities that will have undergone interventions may rise to 90. This initiative aims not only at conservation but also at revitalizing cultural structures nationwide.

The achievement of the PRR targets for Culture has been considered an important step toward ensuring the recovery of a sector that has faced significant challenges in recent years. The MCJD reaffirms its ongoing commitment to investing in culture and heritage.

These results were announced at a time when the Government is assessing the next steps of the recovery plan, seeking to ensure that the objectives of cultural promotion and enhancement are maintained over time.
