Red panda twins born at Zoo Planckendael
Two red pandas have recently been born at Zoo Planckendael in Muizen (Mechelen), marking good news for the endangered species.

Two red pandas have recently been born at Zoo Planckendael, located in Muizen near Mechelen. The birth of the twins is significant, considering that red pandas are threatened with extinction. This event is viewed as favorable for the species.
The mother, red panda Amber, gave birth to the twins, an event that caregivers had been eagerly awaiting, fearing it might not happen. Footage of Amber with her young has brought joy to the staff.
The camera footage captured Amber suddenly walking with her little ones. This unexpected event elicited a positive reaction from the caregivers, including Dieter, who described it as a fantastic feeling when they saw it.

The young panda kittens are currently still in the nesting box of their enclosure. Zoo visitors who pay close attention may have already spotted the little ones, although they are not very visible yet.
Zoo Planckendael plays an important role in the protection and conservation of endangered species, and the birth of this twin pair contributes to efforts to support the red panda population.
