Red Star Belgrade fails to qualify for Champions League with Arnautovic and Cham

Red Star Belgrade has lost its qualification for the UEFA Champions League. The team, which includes Austrian players Marko Arnautovic and Muhamed Cham, was defeated at home on Wednesday by Israeli champions Hapoel Be'er Sheva, with a score of 0-2. The first half ended scoreless, but the visitors scored twice in the second half to secure the victory.

Arnautovic came on as a substitute at halftime, while Cham was substituted in during the 72nd minute. However, this did not prevent Red Star from failing to mount a comeback. They had already lost the first leg 0-1 in Israel, leading to an aggregate score of 0-2.

With this result, Red Star is eliminated from the Champions League qualifiers and will not participate in the subsequent rounds. Hapoel Be'er Sheva will now face Azerbaijani champions Sabah FK in the qualification playoff to secure a spot in the Champions League group stage.

The defeat marks the end of Red Star's dream to compete in the prestigious Champions League next season. The players and the club must now focus on upcoming challenges in other competitions.
