On Saturday, the large techno parade 'Rave The Planet' took place in Berlin's Tiergarten, where tens of thousands of people celebrated. During the event, a total of 50 participants were admitted to the hospital. The reasons for hospitalization were either health issues due to drug and alcohol use or heat-related ailments, as a spokesperson for the Berlin fire department confirmed to dpa.
Rescue teams also had numerous other deployments to assist participants who did not need hospitalization. However, more specific figures regarding the number of assistance calls were not released, as they are included in the overall number of medical emergencies.
Despite the 50 hospitalizations, emergency services rated the outcome of the event as positive. They apparently managed all emergencies well and ensured the safety of the revelers, indicating that the event was well organized.
