At the Hamburg fair Sommerdom, there was an incident where around 20 visitors were trapped in a carousel at a height of about 30 meters. According to various sources, the passengers were forced to endure three hours suspended in the air. A large number of rescue personnel were mobilized to save the individuals.

According to reports, the passengers had to wait for the rescue operation, which was eventually organized by the fire brigade. The exact circumstances that led to the incident are still unknown. The rescue teams worked intensively to free those affected safely from their predicament.

The incident occurred just before the end of the fair. After the passengers were rescued, operations of the carousel were resumed. For those present and the rescue crews, it was a complicated but ultimately successful operation. However, such incidents raise questions about the safety of amusement rides.
