Russia has issued an international warrant for a journalist from the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung. Moscow accuses the reporter of having called for the killing of Russians during an interview with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
According to the FAZ, the journalist is being accused of inciting hatred or hostility. If extradited to Russia, he could face up to six years in prison.
The internationally issued warrant gained wider attention after the FAZ used the wording 'regrets' regarding the situation. Coverage of this matter varies slightly among different media outlets.
