Saudi Arabia destroys Houthi targets in Yemen during ‘major offensive’
The Saudi-led military coalition has destroyed over one hundred military targets of the Houthi militia in Yemen, amid reports of hostile attacks on Riyadh.

The Saudi-led military coalition has claimed to have destroyed 136 military targets of the Houthi militia in Yemen as part of a ‘major offensive.’ This was confirmed by Turki al Maliki, the coalition's spokesperson. The strikes targeted the personnel and material capabilities of the Houthi rebels, who are supported by Iran, and took place in areas controlled by the rebels.
Reports indicate that attacks by the military coalition were carried out in several regions of Yemen, aimed at the Iran-supported Houthi fighters. The targets included key military facilities and positions of the Houthis, who have controlled a significant portion of the country for years.
On the same day, an attack on Riyadh's international airport was reported, carried out by the Houthis. According to Saudi authorities, at least twelve people, including foreigners, were killed and over 300 injured. Airport operations were temporarily suspended, adding to the already heightened tensions in the region.
The coalition emphasized that its military operations aim to neutralize the threat posed by ballistic missiles and other offensive capabilities of the Houthi militia. These actions were justified as a response to the increasing Houthi attacks on Saudi territory.
Additionally, media outlets close to the Houthis reported on the military actions of the Saudi coalition in the northwestern part of the country. This reporting underscores the complexity of the conflict in Yemen, which has been ongoing for years and encompasses various political and military dimensions.
The situation in the region remains tense, as both the military coalition and the Houthi militia continue to deploy their military capacities and strategies. The military conflict in Yemen is regarded by humanitarian organizations as one of the gravest crises of the present time, and the impacts of the recent escalation are likely to have far-reaching consequences.
