On Thursday, several flights traveling within Europe reported bomb threats, prompting unplanned landings and military interventions. Reports indicate that at least 13 flights were affected, with incidents noted in countries including France, Bulgaria, Italy, Austria, Belgium, and the Czech Republic.

An Aer Lingus flight from Dublin to Rome was among those diverted, landing at the Évreux-Fauville Air Base in France. This flight was carrying 151 passengers and six crew members, all of whom were reported safe following the landing. Bomb-disposal teams were deployed to inspect the aircraft after it landed due to the threat.

Additionally, a WizzAir service from Milan Malpensa to Warsaw was diverted and landed in Vienna, while a Finnair flight from Helsinki to Rome was also affected by bomb threats, according to the Italian news agency Ansa.

Belgian media reported another bomb threat concerning a LOT Polish Airlines flight from Warsaw. There were also other alerts affecting flights, with military aircraft reportedly scrambled in response to some of the threats.

The incidents seem to follow a pattern of threats that have disrupted air traffic across Europe in recent days, with various reports indicating that these threats might not be isolated incidents.

Authorities are continuing to investigate the series of threats that have caused significant travel disruptions across multiple European airlines, underscoring ongoing security concerns in the aviation sector.
