Severe earthquake in Colombia claims at least twenty lives and causes significant damage

The earthquake was felt in several cities, including the capital, Bogotá, where people evacuated buildings as a precaution. In the city of Pereira, eighteen victims have been registered, while at least two people have died in Manizales.
According to the mayor of Pereira, more details regarding the victims and damage are expected as the investigation progresses. Injuries have been reported in the Chocó department, and significant damage to buildings has been reported.
Several airports in the western part of the country have temporarily halted their operations. The number of collapsed buildings is unknown, but eyewitnesses report extensive devastation.
