Solar eclipse brings 150 GNR soldiers to Bragança and restricts access to Rio de Onor
The observation of the solar eclipse, initially planned for Montesinho Natural Park, has been moved to Bragança.

The observation of the solar eclipse taking place today will bring 150 soldiers from the Guarda Nacional Republicana (GNR) to Bragança. Initially, the event was scheduled to take place at the Montesinho Natural Park, but was relocated to the Bragança aerodrome due to the risk of fire in the area, as reported by RTP.
The GNR is implementing security measures to ensure that the observation of the phenomenon proceeds without incidents. At the same time, access to the village of Rio de Onor will be restricted during the event as part of the necessary precautions.
Despite the changes, hundreds of people are expected in the Transmontana village, preparing to witness the eclipse. Authorities are requesting that visitors follow the established safety guidelines.
