Today, a solar eclipse is happening, as the Moon gradually covers the disk of the Sun. Spain is one of the few countries where totality can be viewed at 100%. The city of Teruel in Spain expects to welcome thousands of spectators to witness the totality of the phenomenon, which is expected to last about one and a half minutes. Local authorities are preparing to host visitors ahead of this rarely seen event.
Meanwhile, in France, a partial covering of the Sun is expected, with approximately 93% of the solar disk obscured in Paris at the peak of the eclipse. This spectacle will occur before sunset.
NASA is monitoring the event, ensuring special attention to the phenomenon that attracts many astronomy enthusiasts in both nations.
