On Thursday, the South Korean police conducted a raid at the national football association KFA. This is part of an investigation into the appointment of coach Hong Myung-bo, whose leadership during the recent World Cup in Mexico was considered disappointing.

South Korea was eliminated early in the tournament and did not reach the knockout stage. While the team won its first group match against the Czech Republic, they subsequently lost to host nation Mexico and South Africa.

The police raid has brought new attention to the questionable circumstances surrounding Hong Myung-bo's appointment, as the team did not meet expectations during the World Cup.
