Sporting Braga has officially announced the loan of left-back Leonardo Lelo to Almeria, a club in the Spanish Segunda División. The transfer was confirmed by the Minho club, which competes in the Primeira Liga.
Lelo is set to reinforce Almeria, whose shareholding is 25% owned by Cristiano Ronaldo. The transfer includes an option to buy valued at three million euros.
This move follows Braga's strategy of loaning players to help them gain experience in foreign leagues.
Leonardo Lelo is a young talent seeking opportunities to establish himself in European football, and the transfer to Almeria represents a new stage in his professional career.
