Today, European stock markets present mixed trends, with Milan standing out for its largest losses. The Milan market closed down by 1.8%, heavily impacted by technology and banking stocks, which suffered significantly.

The spread between Btp and Bund stood at 116 basis points, highlighting some tension on government bonds, while the yield on Btp rose to 4.61%. These interest rate variations occur amidst overall market tensions.

Several stocks recorded sharp declines, with losses exceeding 4% for companies like Stm, Prysmian, Unicredit, and Intesa. This contributed to Milan being labeled the 'black sheep' of the European continent.

In contrast, some stocks showed stronger performance, such as Stellantis and Inwit, while oil firms Eni and Saipem maintained a level of stability in the market.

Overall, European markets were caught off guard by pressure on bonds, while Milan displayed the worst performance of the day, seriously affected by movements in technology stocks.

Despite these difficulties, the euro showed signs of recovery against the dollar, rising to 1.124 after a period of fluctuations and lows.
