Stolen Picasso prints found in Milwaukee after eight years
Two prints by Pablo Picasso, stolen in 2018, have been discovered in an abandoned apartment in Milwaukee.

During the cleaning of an apartment in Milwaukee, United States, two stolen prints by Pablo Picasso were found. These etchings were taken from an art gallery in the city in 2018. The estimated value of the works is $40,000 (approximately €34,000).
The discovery of the long-lost prints has led to relief for gallery owner Bill DeLind. He faced the theft in 2018 and had to consider the artworks lost. The surprise over their recovery is significant.
The fact that the works reappeared after eight years has not only astonished DeLind but also raises questions about the conditions in which they were stored and how they remained unnoticed for so long. This issue is now under further investigation.
