Super XV has expressed its ambition to establish a professional rugby championship in Portugal, as reported at the headquarters of the Portuguese Rugby Federation. However, the organization described this goal as 'utopian.'

Lança de Morais, a spokesperson for Super XV, commented that competitiveness in Portuguese rugby is increasing, with the arrival of professional players in the country. This movement is seen as a positive step for the development of the sport in the region.

Additionally, Super XV believes that the introduction of a professional championship could boost interest in rugby and help elevate the level of play among Portuguese clubs.

On the other hand, the creation of such a tournament faces significant challenges that need to be overcome before it can be implemented. Discussions about this initiative continue among those involved in the sport.
