Supreme Court Quashes FIRs Against Comedians Over Remarks

The Supreme Court has quashed all FIRs and related proceedings against comedians Samay Raina, Vipul Goyal, Balraj Paramjeet Singh Ghai, Sonali Thakkar, and Nishant Jagdish Tanwar. These proceedings were initiated following jokes made by the comedians which were reported by M/s SMA Cure Foundation, an organization focused on supporting individuals affected by Spinal Muscular Atrophy and other rare diseases, according to The Times of India.

The Court has acknowledged the compliance of the comedians with its direction to conduct awareness programs and raise funds for persons with disabilities.
