Swiss Army supports water supply in the Fribourg Alps
Due to an acute water shortage, the Swiss Army is airlifting water to the foothills of Fribourg to ensure water supply for alpine pastures.

A special situation has been declared in the Fribourg Alps due to an acute water shortage. To address this issue, the Swiss Air Force has organized transport flights to bring water to the region.
According to reports, 20,000 liters of water were transported by helicopter to Alp Combi, located between Schwarzsee and Charmey, on Thursday. The army and civil protection are involved in supplying several alpine pastures in the canton of Fribourg.
