A Swiss Airbus A340 was unable to depart from Shanghai to Zurich as scheduled on Sunday. According to the Tages-Anzeiger, the crew detected a noticeable odor in the cockpit, leading to an immediate decision to abort the flight. At the same time, a typhoon in the region caused adverse weather conditions.
Further reports indicated that the flight had to be postponed again on Monday due to these simultaneous issues. The aircraft is expected to resume its journey to Zurich overnight on Tuesday, provided the situation stabilizes.
