Taiwanese prosecutors have charged nine individuals for illegally exporting high-end AI servers, specifically graphics processing units known as 'B300,' to mainland China. Among those charged are one staff member from Nvidia and two employees from Super Micro, according to reports.

The charges were announced on Monday, highlighting ongoing tensions regarding technology exports amid growing competition between the United States and China in the field of artificial intelligence.

The Taiwanese authorities stated that the export of the B300 servers was prohibited, which has intensified scrutiny of technology transfer to China.

The legal proceedings against these nine individuals add to the existing concerns about the flow of advanced technology to nations identified as threats to U.S. national security interests.

This series of charges follows recent global trends regarding export controls of advanced technologies, particularly to China, where increased demand for AI capabilities has been noted.

The identities of the individuals charged, as well as details of any further legal actions or affiliations, remain undisclosed by the prosecutors.
