Chief Minister Revanth Reddy of Telangana has decided to remove Konda Surekha from his cabinet, according to The Times of India. This decision comes after recommendations from the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) disciplinary committee, which addressed Surekha's controversial remarks.

In addition to Surekha's removal, G Chinna Reddy's appointment as vice-chairman of the Telangana Planning Board was also rescinded. Gadwal Vijayalakshmi has been appointed as the new vice-chairperson of the Planning Board. Notably, Nerella Sharada and G Sudha Rani have received new roles as well.

The Hindu reported that CM Revanth Reddy had earlier recommended Konda Surekha's removal to the Governor. This recommendation was prompted by the ongoing controversy surrounding critical remarks made by her daughter about the Chief Minister and other party leaders.

In related developments, Revanth Reddy appointed three additional women to significant positions, including G. Sudha Rani, who has been appointed as the Chairperson of the Kisan Union Development Authority (KUDA). This move may indicate a shift toward promoting women in leadership within the state government.
