Temporary station building in Tienen opens this week
Passengers in Tienen must use the temporary station building at the back of the station starting Tuesday.

Starting Tuesday, August 11, train passengers in Tienen will be able to use a temporary station building at the back of the station. This is necessary as the historic station building, dating back to 1840, is currently undergoing renovation.
The NMBS (National Railway Company of Belgium) has opened the temporary building to provide passengers with facilities such as a ticket counter, waiting area, and restrooms during the renovation work.
The renovation of Belgium's oldest station is aimed at giving the station a new future.
