Tensions in the Middle East: US and Iran Intensify Rhetoric
Tehran threatens to close the Strait of Hormuz until new agreements with the US, while Trump warns Oman.

Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister, Abbas Araghchi, stated that Israel poses a significant obstacle to an agreement between Iran and the United States. Tehran has warned that the Strait of Hormuz will remain closed until the United States adheres to the terms of an agreement.
In a context of rising tension, US President Donald Trump declared that Oman could face consequences if it doesn't act as desired. Trump stated that if the country intervenes, it will be bombed.

At the same time, US Special Representative Tom Barrack described the alleged Israeli airstrikes on Abu Duhur as an unnecessary escalation, urging the involved parties to engage in dialogue. Barrack emphasized that such actions do not contribute to the stability of the region.
According to reports, the Israeli airstrikes caused damage in Idlib, but there were no reported casualties. The current situation unfolds on the day a ceasefire expires, raising concerns over further deterioration in Syria.
