Three paintings by Cezanne, Matisse, and Renoir recovered in Parma

Carabinieri from the Provincial Command of Parma, along with the Cultural Heritage Protection Unit, have recovered three paintings by great masters, Cezanne, Matisse, and Renoir, that were stolen from the Fondazione Magnani Rocca.

The theft, which occurred during the night of March 22-23, had a total value of over 9 million euros. The well-known works include 'Tasse et plat de cerises' by Paul Cezanne, 'Les Poisson' by Pierre Auguste Renoir, and 'Odalisque Sur La Terrasse' by Henri Matisse.

The searches were commissioned by the Prosecutor's Office of Parma and led to the recovery of the paintings after a detailed investigation conducted by law enforcement authorities.

According to reports, surveillance videos showing the thieves in action were also examined during the investigation.

The Fondazione Magnani Rocca, located in Mamiano di Traversetolo, was the center of this audacious theft, which attracted the attention of both the media and authorities.

Investigations are still ongoing to identify those responsible for the theft and to ensure the security of the recovered artworks.
