Tondela kicked off their season in the II Liga with a home victory against Amarante, last season's Liga 3 champions. The match, held at Estádio João Cardoso, saw the team from Beira secure a 2-1 win, culminating in a turnaround in the scoreline.

After a challenging start, Tondela managed to turn the situation around and secure the three points in their debut. This triumph marks the team's return to the II Liga, where they aim to solidify their position throughout the season.
