Total solar eclipse leads to preparations in Mallorca
Authorities and the military in Mallorca are preparing for the total solar eclipse that is expected to attract many visitors.

The total solar eclipse that can be observed in Mallorca has prompted the island's authorities to take extensive measures. To avoid potential traffic congestion, visitors are being urged to visit various locations around the island rather than crowding into specific areas. This request follows an intensive advertising campaign that has been highlighting the astronomical event for months.
In preparation for the solar eclipse, Spanish authorities have announced that a total of 123 areas will be closed. Units from the army, fire department, and maritime rescue service will be active to ensure a smooth process during the event. These measures are part of a comprehensive plan to ensure visitor safety and coordinate traffic between the islands.
Additionally, several TV channels, including RTL, have rearranged their evening programming to broadcast the unique spectacle live. These broadcasts aim to give people who cannot be present the opportunity to experience the total solar eclipse from home. Other channels have also announced they will show the event live.
