Tourism challenges after the fire in Ávila and holiday changes in Peru
The fire in Ávila has raised economic concerns, while Peru plans to shift holidays to boost tourism.

A fire in Ávila has raised concerns about its impact on the local economy, as warned by Luis Ángel Chico, president of the Rural Tourism Association of Castilla y León (ARARCYL). He noted that the main challenge is to save tourism in order to drive the region's economic recovery.
On the other hand, the Government of Peru announced that starting in 2027, holidays will be moved to Fridays in order to reactivate local tourism and strengthen the country's economy.
