Since 6:20 AM, there has been no train service possible between Sint-Niklaas and Willebroek on line 54, and between Lokeren and Dendermonde on line 57. This disruption is due to a technical problem with the signaling system, as reported by rail network manager Infrabel.

Due to the disruption, the National Railway Company of Belgium (NMBS) has deployed replacement buses to assist passengers. So far, there is no indication of when train services will resume.

Passengers are advised to expect longer travel times and possible delays while Infrabel works on resolving the issue.
