AZ announced on Thursday evening that Troy Parrott is making the move to the Spanish club Real Betis. This follows the recent sale of Sven Mijnans to PSV, marking the second major transfer for the club in a short period, reports De Telegraaf.

According to Mundo Deportivo, the Irish striker arrived at San Pablo Airport in Seville on Thursday afternoon via private jet. He is expected to undergo his medical examination there and sign a five-year contract, binding him to the club until June 2031.

The transfer involves a sum of 16 million euros plus an additional 4 million euros in variable costs. AZ reports that it retains 10% of the capital gain for any future sale of Parrott, who previously played for the Alkmaar club.

Marca confirms that Parrott flew to Seville to finalize the transfer process and sign his contract. He was welcomed by a small number of Real Betis fans, who presented him with a scarf to commemorate his arrival.

In total, the sale of Parrott is expected to bring the Alkmaarders an estimated 20 million euros. This transaction with Real Betis marks an important step for AZ, which is preparing for further developments in the transfer market.

The Irish international is considered a promising attacker, and his move to Real Betis is anticipated with great interest. The club is involved in European competitions, which could usher in an exciting phase in his career.
