Trump appeals to Supreme Court again over mail-in voting rules
The U.S. government has requested the Supreme Court to intervene in a dispute over mail-in voting rules after a federal judge halted the initiative.

The Trump administration has once again approached the Supreme Court to enforce stricter rules for mail-in voting in the U.S. According to Der Tagesspiegel, a federal judge previously halted the initiative through a temporary injunction.
The dispute over mail-in voting rules is escalating ahead of upcoming elections. Critics suspect that President Trump aims to complicate voting by mail. According to DER STANDARD, the federal judge referred to the plans as "likely unconstitutional."
The government is asking the Supreme Court to suspend the decision of a lower court that currently obstructs the implementation of the new regulations. In North Carolina, the first mail-in ballots are set to be sent out today, reports the Belgian Radio.
